The Rev. Stephen Babbington, rector of Loomouth, is not used to drinking cocktails. ‘I think that my wife would allow me to have one’ he says, with a little clerical laugh. But when he takes a sip, his hand goes to his throat and he drops down, dead. Why would anyone want to murder the Rev Stephen Babbington?
