Mr Shaitana is a collector of fine things. ‘A murderer can be an artist’ he says. And so for one evening he invites four of the best murderers – those who have never been caught – and three detectives (including Poirot) for dinner and a game of bridge. At the end of the evening one of those present is found dead – stabbed with an exotic knife.
